Aika es una chica de 16 años que ha sacado su licencia de clase C del Salvager (mini submarino) gracias a su tutor Gozo para poder juntar algún dinerillo. De pronto su compañera, Eri, la invita a su club de cazadores de tesoros; allí le presenta a su senpai, Karen quien tiene un extraño tatuaje en su pecho, al examinarlo mejor se dan cuenta que tiene un mensaje escondido (Las puertas de la verdad se abrirán ante la mariposa durmiente) y unas coordenadas. Eri supone que en ese lugar estaría escondido un gran tesoro por lo que le propone a Aika a que la acompañe porque la necesita a que maneje un salvager.
